Caustic Soda Liquor 10% (also known as Sodium Hydroxide) is an alkaline solution that is widely used in various industrial applications. It is a clear, colourless liquid with no odour.

Common uses of Caustic Soda Liquor 10%:

• Used in industrial cleaning applications, especially for removing oils, fats and grease from metal surfaces, machinery, and equipment.
• It helps adjust the pH of water, particularly in water softening processes and in neutralising acidic waste water.
• Used in the textile industry for scouring fabrics and in processes like mercerisation, which improves the fabric’s dye affinity and strength.
• Used as a base in various chemical reactions, including the production of other chemicals like sodium derivatives (e.g., sodium carbonate and sodium hypochlorite).
• Helps in pulping and bleaching processes to produce paper and other products from wood fibres.
• Used for neutralising acid oils or for refining edible oils.

Due to its highly corrosive nature, caustic soda liquor must be handled with care, using appropriate protective gear like gloves, goggles and aprons, especially in concentrations above 10%.
